Effect of the new US Tariffs
US Tariffs
We have now made available shipping to USA via Australia Post DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). Not only is this cheaper than DHL, but US Tariffs are paid in advance by Wifitrax and are added into the shipping rate based
on the value of the order. Note that, as of writing, tariffs on Australia are 10%. President Trump has indicated that these may go to 15%. It this happens the DDP rates will need to be changed.
Please note: Choice of DDP shipping indicates your acceptance that Wifitrax will not refund any tariffs included in DDP charges as a result of legal action in the USA relating to interpretation of US law by the current administration.
Wifitrax products are made in Australia, not China or Hong Kong. Australia is the country of origin of all Wifitrax products.
Australia does NOT apply any tariffs to imports from the USA, although all imports are subject to Goods and Services Tax, a sales tax, exactly the same as goods made in Australia which businesses can reclaim.

Retail USA Customers
Shipping DDP via Australia Post means that Wifitrax pays the tariff up front with much lower fees. Otherwise exports to the USA from Australia, as far as we understand, are subject to a 10% tariff by the US Customs and Border Protection plus a customs fee we believe US$20-30. The De-minimus exception no longer applies and you as the importer will have to pay these fees if you choose DHL as the carrier.Wifitrax USA Dealers
Wifitrax USA dealer's orders are subject to a 10% tariff and customs fees, and therefore dealers may understandably factor this into their pricing accordingly. Usually buying from Wifitrax dealers will save you time and shipping costs.Wifitrax Component Sourcing
90% of the components used to make our products come from distributors in the USA thus we help in a small way to support jobs in the USA. Many components supplied by US distributors, stocked and shipped from distributors in the USA, are sourced from countries such as Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, China etc. Components shipped from USA to Wifitrax in Australia are NOT tariffs by Australia and thus the prices we pay are not affected.
